Step 2: Create an Account

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

• Personal details (name, DOB, parents’ names)

• Contact details (address, pin code, city)

• Educational details (Class 10 marks, Class 12 appearing/passed)

• Category (General/OBC/SC/ST/PWD)

Step 4: Upload Documents (MOST CRITICAL)

6:00 AM – Quick Revision (Optional)

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM – Instructions and Verification

• Invigilators verify your admit card and ID

• They will announce rules

• Test your pen on rough paper

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM – CLAT Exam

• 120 minutes. 120 questions.

4:00 PM – Exam Ends

• Stop writing immediately

• Question paper and answer sheet will be collected

• You will be allowed to leave only after all papers are collected

4:15 PM – Exit the Center

• Go home. Rest. You’ve earned it.

Part 5: Exam Day Mistakes to Avoid

I’ve seen students make these mistakes. Learn from them.

CLAT Preparation Mistake #1: Reaching Late

What happens: You arrive at 1:35 PM. Gates closed at 1:30 PM. You’re standing outside while the exam starts.

Prevention: Leave home 2 hours before you think you need to. Traffic is unpredictable. A 30-minute drive can become 90 minutes.

Mistake #2: Wrong Pen

What happens: You bring a blue pen. CLAT requires BLACK pen. The scanner doesn’t read blue ink well. Your answers might not be evaluated.

Prevention: Buy 3 new black ballpoint pens the day before. Test them on paper.

Mistake #3: Forgot Admit Card

What happens: You reach the center. No admit card. You’re not allowed inside. One year of preparation gone.
